The Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is having a massive impact across the country and throughout the world, with advice changing all the time and the risks continuing to increase. With this in mind, the band committee has been in daily contact during the past week and has taken a unanimous decision to POSTPONE our 20th Anniversary Concert on 28th March.
As you can imagine this decision was not taken lightly, and we would emphasis that this is a POSTPONEMENT rather than a cancellation. As always, Ian has been working tirelessly to prepare the band for this event, and we don't intend to let the hard work go to waste! Nor do we want to miss the opportunity to recognise and celebrate Ian's 20 years of service to the band as Musical Director.
We are currently discussing options for an alternative date later in the year and will keep you updated as soon as it is possible to make a decision. Anyone who has already purchased tickets for the concert on 28th March can rest assured that these tickets will remain valid for the concert when it is held later in the year. However, should you wish to discuss refund options please get in touch via email (marlowtownband@btinternet.com).
Once again, we are extremely disappointed to have to cancel this event, but the health and well-being of band members and our supporters must be our priority in these unprecedented times. Thank you for your support and understanding.
