Senior Citizens Lunch – Saturday 28 th January 2006

As part of its service to the local community the Marlow Band is pleased to carry out 4 engagements each year for the Marlow Town Council. The first of these traditionally falls at the end of January each year.

The Mayor of Marlow and his staff put on a special lunch for around 200 senior citizens of Marlow. Each year a different set of Senior Citizens are invited to the Great Marlow School.

The Marlow is always delighted to present a short concert after the meal, and 2006 no exception.

The format of the concert is that the band delivers all the favourites from yesteryear and audience participation is a must. This year the senior citizens excelled themselves and spent the whole concert singing, clapping, swaying and simply having fun.

The band always enjoys this concert as it brings so much joy and happiness to the senior citizens.

Thanks are again expressed to the Mayor of Marlow and his staff for the invitation.
